Is Shakeology Kosher
Shakeology is not certified Kosher
We are asked all the time: "Is Shakeology Kosher?" The easy answer is no. But here is why.Having a product certified Kosher is not an easy or cheap process. This is the Wikipedia article on what exactly Kosher certified food is, and what it takes to have it certified.
Beachbody has explored the possibility of having Shakeology certified as Kosher. But with it's 70 plus ingredients, all having to be individually certified, it just was not a feasible expense. The expense involved in the process would have forced the price to have to be raised by about 20-25%. And while Beachbody is confident that it's facility and ingredient's would have passed certification, it just could not go through the process for business purposes.
Every person has their own beliefs and their own dietary restrictions based on them. The Shakeology ingredients are the same, whether they are certified as Kosher or not. It would leave it to be an individual decision, based on those beliefs, as to whether or not someone wished to use Shakeology.
Although the Shakeology facilty has not been certified as Kosher, we suggest that you individually review the Shakeology ingredients list, and based on that decide for yourself whether or not Shakeology would meet your own dietary restrictions and beliefs.
